چکیده
Statphylococcus aureus is a Gram positive bacterium, which is naturally present in nasopharyngeal region of human beings and animals. After 1941, S.aureus was developed drug resistant capacity to against all penicillin antibiotics. In 1961, Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus were isolated. The present study Methicillin Resistant S. aureus were isolated from clinical pus samples. All isolates were grown on Luria Bertani (LB) Agar containing Oxacillin antibiotic. Genomic DNA isolated from isolates using with standard procedure. Fem A gene amplification using with Real Time PCR and suitable primers. The amplified gene was produced 510 bp at Agarose Gel Electrophoresis. S. GANESH MANIKANDAN Department of Biotechnology, V.MK.V.Engineering College, Vinayaka Mission University, India

Prevalence of resistance and toxin genes in community-acquired and hospital-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus clinical isolates
Objective(s): Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one of the major health hazards and became of greater public health concern since the emergence of community-acquired MRSA. This work aimed to study the prevalence of mecA, femA, femB, lukS-PV, lukF-PV (PVL), intI, and intII genes among community-acquired (CA) hospital-acquired (HA) MRSA to increase vi...
متن کاملIsolation, antimicrobial susceptibility and mecA gene analysis of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
The objective of this study was to determine the occurrence of antimicrobial resistance among Staphylococcus aureus and to estimate the presence of methicillin-resistance in S. aureus (MRSA) isolates obtained by culture and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods. For this purposes, 100 Iranian white and feta cheese samples collected from different suppliers were initially evaluated for the occ...

Background and Objective: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one of the most common microorganisms that is recovered from clinical bacterial isolates. Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) recommends usage of cefoxitin when using the disk diffusion method to determine resistance against methicillin for S. aureus. The aim of our study was to evaluate the efficacy ...
متن کاملIsolation of PVL/ACME-Positive, Community Acquired, Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (USA300) from Iran
Introduction: Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is responsible for an increasing number of serious hospital- and community-acquired infections. USA300 is known to be the most common cause of community-acquired infections, but recently there have been some reports on hospital-acquired infections caused by this strain. Methods: Totally 171 isolates of S. aureus were collected fro...
متن کاملAntibiotic Resistance Pattern and Frequency of mecA Gene in Staphylococcus aureus Isolated from Shohada Hospital, Tabriz
Introduction: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) can cause serious and life-threatening hospital- and community-acquired infections. Colonized and infected patients represent the most important reservoir of MRSA in health care facilities. Therefore, in this study, MRSA isolates collected from Shohada Hospital in Tabriz were evaluated for the frequency of mecA gene and their anti...
